Vikings

Two weeks after Spanky's Grille opened, two brothers each ordered and ate two of our one pound burgers. The following year, 2004, the two pound burger was added to our menu. We named it the Mad Viking. It was a joke. We thought five would be eaten a year. We were wrong. On July, 2011, the thousandth Viking was eaten.

The Viking has been eaten by people from 33 states and has there has been three international Vikings (France, Germany, and Slovakia). The Viking has been eaten by a girl as young as nine, and a man who was seventy three. At last count fourteen people have eaten a total of five Viking or more, twenty seven woman have eaten a Viking, twenty three men have finished a 3LB Viking, eight men have eaten a 4LB Viking, and one man has eaten a 5LB Viking.

Anyone who finishes the Viking gets to sign the hall of fame, receives a bumper sticker, and anyone who emails us their photo will have their picture added to the Viking video (click below to watch). Anyone who finishes a 4LB Viking has their picture hung on our wall.
